Piazza Castello, 27
The Achille Castiglioni Studio Museum has been open to the public from January 2006, by means of an agreement between the Castiglioni heirs and Milan’s Triennale. During the guided tour, Irma and Giovanna Castiglioni, wife and daughter of the great designer who died in 2002, take small groups of visitors to the rooms where for years Achille created and developed his designs.
At the same time, Antonella Gornati and Dianella Gobbato, assistants in the studio who worked in close contact with Achille Castiglioni for over 20 years, work on the same premises, cataloguing, compiling archives, and converting designs, models, drawings, photographs and objects into digital format. This material illustrates sixty years’ work by an important personality in the design field.
